Participation

Solo Story:

  • Entrant can participate either in Solo Story or Story Album / Portfolio.
  • Entrant can select any one category from listed categories like Monuments, Heritage City life, culture and Tradition on www.thelivinghistory.org
  • Participant can share maximum 1 images Under Solo Story Category

Album Story

  • Entrant can participate either in Solo Story or Story Album / Portfolio.
  • Entrant can select any one category from listed categories like Monuments, Heritage City life, culture and Tradition on www.thelivinghistory.org
  • Participant can share maximum 5 images under Story Album / Portfolio.

The contest is open to everyone across India to share the photographs that display the heritage of Ahmedabad and its culture. The participant needs to follow the recommended procedure.

  1. Digital Image must have the title and mention of the section, and should be given number with the entry form.
  2. The digital image file must be in JPEG format and the size of file must be maximum 1 MB. The image must have 300dpi resolution maximum and size maximum of 1024x768. The horizontal images (landscape format) must have, the width 1024 pixels and height should not be less than this as per the composition. The vertical images (portrait format) must have, height 768 pixels and the width should not be less this as per the composition.
  3. The submission of digital file should be done through our website www.thelivinghistory.org
  4. It is assumed to use the entry submissions, unless not specified, in the press or catalogue etc., in connection with the photo contest.
  5. Title of Entry / Image should not exceed 25 letters to facilitate computer listing for catalogue. Use only (A-Z or 0-9) in titles. Each image must have unique title.
  6. Participants will be notified online about the contest and judgment.
  7. The decision of the panel of judges will be final and binding with no appeal.
  8. The same image, or a like “in camera” or a “reproduction” duplicate of that image: (1) May not be re-entered in any section (2) May not be re-titled for entry in any other Exhibition/Contest. Words such as “Untitled” or “No Title” are not acceptable as part or all of an image’s title, nor are camera capture file names or titles consisting of only numbers.
  9. If it is determined before, during, or after the judging that an entrant has submitted entries where one or more images fail to comply with these Conditions of Entry, including the stated definitions, the contest reserves the right and discretion to delete the entry from the exhibition and void any or all acceptances or awards.
  10. In order to ensure that images comply with the Conditions of Entry and definitions, the contest may carry out checks on the images to make sure that: (a) the images are the original work of the entrant and (b) the images comply with the rules and definitions as set out in these Conditions of Entry.
